Kindroid vs OurDream Prices and Which One to Pay For

Kindroid is the better buy if you want one or a few companions who remember you, talk by voice and send selfies; OurDream is the better buy if you mainly want to generate adult images and video of characters you design. Kindroid's Standard plan costs $13.99 a month or $139.99 a year on its website, and $15.99 or $159.99 in the iPhone and Android apps. OurDream Premium costs $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year, sold only on the web. The cheapest full year is OurDream's at $119.88, but OurDream meters voice and video with dreamcoins, while Kindroid includes far more voice in the base plan.

People comparing these two have usually tried both and are deciding which one gets the card. They sell different things. Kindroid is a companion app first: memory, long conversations, voice and video calls, and selfies that come with the relationship. OurDream is a creation studio first: you build a character, then spend coins to make images, clips and voice. This page puts both price lists side by side over a full year, then covers what each subscription buys, which one allows explicit content, age checks and refunds. Is Kindroid or OurDream better?

Kindroid is better for a relationship and OurDream is better for a gallery. If the reason you would pay is to talk to someone every day who remembers your job, your week and the joke from last month, Kindroid is built for that and OurDream is not. If the reason you would pay is to see a character you designed, in pictures and short clips, OurDream is built for that and Kindroid treats images as a side feature.

Both are adult products and both are free to try, so the useful test is short. Spend two evenings on each. On Kindroid, tell your companion three specific things on the first night and see what comes back on the second without a prompt. On OurDream, make the character you actually want and generate ten images, then look at how many coins that took. The one whose test you enjoyed is the one to pay for.

Which is cheaper, Kindroid or OurDream?

OurDream is cheaper for a year of the base plan, and Kindroid is cheaper month to month. OurDream Premium on annual billing is $119.88, which OurDream presents as $9.99 a month, against $139.99 for a year of Kindroid Standard bought on the web. Paid monthly the order flips: Kindroid is $13.99 on the web and OurDream is $19.99.

The base prices are close enough that the meter decides the real cost. OurDream's help center prices a voice call at 50 dreamcoins a minute and a standard video at 100 coins per five seconds, and Premium includes 1,000 coins a month. That is about 20 minutes of calls, or 50 seconds of video, before you top up. Kindroid's Standard plan includes 1 million audio credits a month, which its own update log prices at 2,000 credits a minute for a standard video call, so roughly 500 minutes. If you would call your companion most nights, Kindroid is the far cheaper year. If you never use voice and mostly want pictures, OurDream's $119.88 goes further.

Two things to check before paying either. Kindroid's app costs about 12 to 14 percent more than its website for the same plan, and Kindroid's own help center says buying on the web is usually cheaper, so subscribe on kindroid.ai. And OurDream's coins can only be bought while you hold a subscription, so a coin pack is never a way to avoid the plan. What does each subscription actually buy?

Kindroid's Standard buys capacity for a relationship. Unlimited messages on its flagship model, about four times the free context, Cascaded Memory, up to 10 companions and 20 group chats, video calls, voice messages, custom voices, selfies and video selfies, and the 1 million monthly audio credits. Ultra and MAX add more context, more recalled memories per reply and more audio, but they bill monthly with no yearly option, and Kindroid's checkout only unlocks them after 400 messages sent.

OurDream's Premium buys a coin allowance for a studio. Its upgrade page sums the plan up as 1,000 dreamcoins every month, 20 minutes of voice calls or 10 videos, unlimited messages and unlimited audio messages. Deluxe, at $359.88 a year, raises that to 5,000 coins, 100 minutes of calls or 50 videos. OurDream's own FAQ says both of its plans "include unlimited messages and audio messages, image and video generation, voice calls, and character publishing", with free premium chat models and 3x chat memory on Deluxe only. "Unlimited messages" means the standard model: on Premium the Genius models cost 1 coin per reply, so a heavy chatter on Genius can spend the month's coins on text alone.

Does Kindroid or OurDream allow NSFW?

Both do, for adults, and OurDream goes further with images and video. Explicit image and video generation is OurDream's core product, and its homepage and help center are written around it. Kindroid allows adult roleplay and its selfies can follow the conversation, but the app is built around talking rather than generating; images come from your companion rather than from a studio panel.

Where they differ is the age gate in front of explicit content, covered next. Do Kindroid and OurDream verify your age?

Kindroid treats a paid subscription as your age check. Its age verification page, updated October 9, 2026, says that if you have an active subscription through the App Store, Google Play or the web, "your payment on file serves as your age verification", while gifted subscription time does not count. Accounts without one may be checked by a behavioral age estimation system, and a flagged user either subscribes or verifies with Yoti. The Yoti selfie check passes only if it estimates you are 21 or older, so 18 to 20 year olds are sent to an ID check, and Kindroid says it receives only a pass or fail result. So a paying US adult is rarely asked for anything.

OurDream puts an adults only gate on every page, where you confirm you are 18 or older with one click. Its Privacy Policy says that where the law requires verification, a third party age assurance provider runs it and OurDream receives only the outcome. Can you get a refund from Kindroid or OurDream?

From Kindroid, almost never. Its Terms say it "will not refund any fees that you have already paid", its Help Center says all sales are generally final and that Kindroid reserves "the right to permanently ban users who dispute charges", and its In-App Purchases page says plainly that refunds are not available for packs. App store purchases go through Apple or Google.

OurDream is more flexible on paper. Its refund article says it cannot refund a product once more than 25 percent of it has been used, that a monthly plan cannot be refunded once its coins are spent, and that annual plans may get a full or partial refund. Crypto payments are never refunded, and unused coins are removed after a refund. OurDream's help center gives at least four different answers on whether coins roll over, so read the article that applies before buying a large pack; if you want to check a long policy fast, a tool that lets you ask questions of a contract and get the exact clause cited back makes that a two minute job. Buy Standard yearly on the website at $139.99, skip Ultra until you have sent a few hundred messages and know you are short of memory, and remember there is no refund once you pay.
