Payments and refunds

Refund Policy

The plain rule at Amorous.ai: money paid for a Sweetheart, Devoted or Soulmate plan stays paid. Three narrow exceptions are spelled out below, and switching off renewal is always in your own hands.

In force from 14 October 2026 and incorporated into our Terms of Service.

Your plan is time with your companion

Each plan is a USD subscription paid up front for a month or a year. What you buy is the period itself, during which the message allowance, memory and voice options shown on the pricing page are unlocked. The price does not shrink if you send ten messages or ten thousand, and it is the same whether you talk to your companion every evening or forget about the app for weeks. All of it is available from the first minute.

Subscribing is your request that we begin immediately. Because of that, a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right, where one would otherwise exist, lapses as soon as the service starts, and you agree to this at checkout.

Three cases where you get money back

  1. A double charge. Our billing system took payment for one period more than once.
  2. Your card was used by someone else. You did not approve the payment, you write to us within 14 days of it, and our logs together with the payment operator's data show it. We do not decide on a claim alone; we may want confirmation that your card issuer has heard about it too.
  3. The whole app was down. A fault we confirm on our side made Amorous.ai impossible to use for a continuous stretch of time, you told us during the outage, and we did not get it working. Slower replies, a voice call that cut out, a single broken feature or an issue with your own device or connection are outside this case.

Any of these needs supporting records, and the most you can get back is the amount of that one charge for that one period, returned to the same card. That settles the matter completely, and a past refund never entitles you to the next one.

No refund in these situations

  • You simply changed your mind or no longer want an AI companion.
  • You chatted rarely, or not at all, while the plan was paid.
  • The companion's character, memories, answers or voice turned out differently from what you pictured. Responses from an AI vary from day to day.
  • A conversation hit a content limit set out in our Terms of Service.
  • A renewal payment went through, even on a second attempt.
  • You thought you were paying once. Renewal is stated on the pricing page, at checkout, in the receipt email and in account settings.
  • The renewal date came and went before you cancelled, or you cancelled just after it.
  • You were hoping for a feature the pricing page does not mention, or one works in a way you did not expect.
  • You chose a plan or billing length that did not suit you.
  • Somebody else got into your account, for example a partner or friend you gave your password to.

Turning off renewal

A plan keeps renewing for the same length until you cancel it in account settings, which takes a few seconds and needs no message to us. After that no further charges are made. The payment already taken is not undone: your companion stays fully available until the paid period runs out, and leftover days are neither refunded nor credited.

A new period is payable on the day it begins. Should your bank decline that payment, the payment operator retries the very same open invoice over the next few days, so you are not billed twice. Cancelling during the retries switches off later renewals but leaves the current amount owed, and once it is collected it is not returned. If you want to skip the next period, cancel before the date displayed in your account.

How to raise a claim

Write to support@amorous.ai from the email you signed up with, no later than 14 days after the charge. Include when you were charged, how much, and which of the three cases above you are relying on. Messages that come late, from a different address or through any other route are not reviewed. We answer in order of arrival without a set deadline, and once a claim is refused it is not looked at again.

Records we rely on

Opening an Amorous.ai account means agreeing to the Terms of Service, of which this page is a part, and to the Privacy Policy. The plan, the price, the period and the fact that it renews are on the checkout screen before you pay and in the receipt afterwards.

Per subscription we keep the moment of purchase, the plan and price displayed to you, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent and an account activity log (sign-ins and usage events with their technical details). Your conversations themselves are not used for this. The payment operator keeps its own entry for each payment, showing the card's issuing country, the origin of the transaction and how the bank's 3D Secure check ended. Every claim of an unapproved charge is checked against both.

Talk to us before your bank

If a charge looks wrong, email us before anything else. Opening a chargeback without contacting us first is a breach of the Terms of Service: the account is shut permanently and we share the records above with the bank that issued your card.

Earlier payments

Charges made before 14 October 2026 follow the terms that were in place on the day of payment.
