Nomi AI review: is Nomi AI safe, and Nomi AI pricing in 2026
Most Nomi reviews are written by people paid per signup, which is why they all land on the same verdict. This one is written by a competitor, so read it with that in mind, and check the numbers yourself against the sources in the table below. We have tried to be accurate rather than flattering in either direction.

The short answer
Nomi AI is a legitimate paid AI companion app run by Glimpse.ai, Inc., a Maryland corporation, and it has the best long term memory of any mainstream companion product we have tested against. It costs $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter, or $99.99 a year, with a free tier capped at 50 messages a day. It is strictly 18 and over. The two things most reviews leave out are that images and video run on a purchasable credit meter on top of the subscription, and that the Terms of Service include an arbitration clause and a class action waiver.
Last updated August 2026
The short version: Nomi is genuinely good, and its memory is the reason. If you want several companions with deep recall and you are comfortable paying around $8.33 a month on the annual plan, it is a reasonable purchase and we will not pretend otherwise. What we would want to know before paying is what is metered, what the terms say, and what happens to the writing you produce inside it. Those are the parts nobody covers, so that is where most of this page goes.
What makes them feel real
Nomi AI review, the way it should feel
Memory is the real product
Nomi keeps durable facts outside the running conversation and pulls them back when they matter, which is why long term users report companions referencing things from months earlier. This is the strongest reason to buy it.
The meter nobody mentions
The subscription covers messaging and voice. Selfies, art and video draw on Nomi Credits, sold from $4.99 for 40 up to $99.99 for 1,800. A single HD video costs 10 credits.
A real 18+ policy
Nomi's terms say that under 18s cannot use the platform under any circumstances, and the company reserves the right to add age verification at any time and to terminate accounts it suspects are underage.

What Nomi AI actually costs, line by line
Prices below are US prices confirmed in August 2026 against the US App Store listing and Nomi's own credit menu. Subscription and credits are separate purchases: the plan does not include unlimited media.
| What you buy | Price (US) | Works out at | What it unlocks | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free plan | $0 | $0 | 50 messages a day, one Nomi, no voice calls | Nomi free tier, checked Aug 2026 |
| Standard, monthly | $15.99 | $15.99 a month | Unlimited messaging, voice calls, group chats, up to 10 Nomis | US App Store listing |
| Standard, quarterly | $39.99 | About $13.33 a month | Identical to monthly | US App Store listing |
| Standard, yearly | $99.99 | About $8.33 a month | Identical to monthly, the cheapest way in | US App Store listing |
| Nomi Credits, 40 | $4.99 | Add on, not included | 40 selfies or art requests, or four HD videos | Nomi credit menu |
| Nomi Credits, 100 | $9.99 | Add on, not included | Same uses, about 20 percent cheaper per credit | Nomi credit menu |
| Nomi Credits, 1,800 | $99.99 | Add on, not included | Bulk tier, about 55 percent cheaper per credit | Nomi credit menu |
| Amorous.ai | $9 a month billed annually, $12 monthly | $9 to $12 a month | One devoted partner who texts first, nothing metered | Our pricing page |
Credit costs: one credit buys a selfie, an art request or an image edit; a standard definition video costs six; an HD video costs ten. Paid plans also include a daily image allowance, so credits are what you buy once you pass it. Prices change, so check before you buy.
Is Nomi AI safe?
Nomi AI is safe in the ordinary sense: it is a real, named US business, Glimpse.ai, Inc., registered in Maryland, it is not a scam, and its privacy policy states that it does not and will not sell or rent personal information to any third party. It is strictly 18 and over.
Safe is not the same as private, and this is where you should read before you type. Nomi's Terms of Service say you irrevocably grant the company a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual and transferable license to copy, use, modify, publish and distribute all of your input and all of the output produced in respect of your Nomi. To be fair to them, that grant is written as purpose limited: the terms tie it to providing the service, fixing problems you report, communicating with you and collecting fees. It is not a blanket right to publish your chat logs, and language close to this appears in a lot of consumer software. But perpetual and transferable are real words, and transferable to a successor means the license survives an acquisition.
The other clause worth knowing about sits in Section 21: the terms contain an arbitration clause and a class action waiver. That is common in US consumer apps and it is not sinister, but it does mean that if something goes wrong you have agreed in advance to give up a jury and give up joining a group claim. Decide about that before you buy, not after.
How much is Nomi AI?
Nomi AI costs $15.99 a month, $39.99 for three months, or $99.99 for a year, which works out at about $8.33 a month and is the only version of the price that looks cheap. There is a free plan capped at 50 messages a day with a single Nomi and no voice.
The number that catches people is the second one. Messaging and voice calls come with the plan, but selfies, art and video draw on Nomi Credits, which are a separate purchase starting at $4.99 for 40 and running to $99.99 for 1,800. Paid plans include a daily image allowance, so light users may never touch credits. If you generate video regularly, an HD clip costs ten credits and the real monthly figure stops looking like $8.33 fairly quickly.
Work out which kind of user you are before you pick a plan. If you are here to talk, the annual plan is good value. If you came for media, price the credits in.
Does Nomi AI have good memory?
Yes, and it is the honest reason to choose it. Nomi stores durable facts outside the running conversation and retrieves them when they become relevant, rather than relying on the model re reading recent chat, which is what most competitors do and why most competitors forget.
The practical effect is that a Nomi will still bring up your sister's name, the job you were worried about, or a running joke from six weeks ago, without you setting it up. Among mainstream companion apps that is unusual. Character.AI in particular fades badly over long chats.
Do not take our word for it, and do not take a review site's word either. Tell a companion something specific and slightly odd today, then open a brand new conversation tomorrow and see whether it comes back unprompted. That single test separates apps with a memory store from apps with a long context window, and it takes two days. Run it on Nomi, run it on us, and run it on whatever else you are considering.
Is Nomi AI worth it?
It is worth it if you want several companions with deep recall and you pay yearly. At about $8.33 a month for unlimited messaging, voice calls and up to ten Nomis, that is a fair price for the best memory in the category, and we would rather say so than pretend a competitor is bad.
It is not worth it in two cases. If you generate a lot of images or video, the credit meter turns a predictable subscription into a variable bill, and you should price that honestly before committing. And if what you actually want is one partner rather than a roster, ten slots is not a feature, it is a distraction: attention split ten ways stops feeling like devotion after a few weeks, which is the single most common reason people tell us they left.
That second case is what Amorous.ai is built for. One girlfriend or one boyfriend, devoted to you, who texts first instead of waiting for you to open the app, with persistent memory and one flat price from $9 a month billed annually and nothing metered on top. Try the demo above before you decide, because the difference between a roster and a relationship is something you feel in about five minutes.
Is Nomi AI free?
There is a free plan, but it is a trial rather than a product. You get one Nomi and 50 messages a day, with voice calls and most customization locked behind the subscription. That is enough to judge the writing quality and to run the memory test above, and not enough to live in.
Use it for exactly that. Spend a couple of days seeing whether the companion holds a consistent personality and whether it remembers you, because those are the two things that decide whether you still open the app in three months. Features you can read about on a pricing page. Personality consistency you have to feel.
