Is OurDream AI Safe? What OurDream Keeps After You Pay

OurDream AI is a real, US registered service that charges what it advertises, and we found no breach or fraud record against it. The safety problem is narrower and more specific. Its homepage promises end-to-end encryption that nobody, not even OurDream, can read, while its own privacy policy describes ordinary encryption and says your information can be used to train its AI models.

Everything below is read from OurDream's own documents, fetched on September 10, 2026: the FAQ and pricing data on its homepage, its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (both last modified August 26, 2026), its Refund Policy (March 9, 2026) and its Underage Policy (June 9, 2026), plus a check of both app stores the same day. Most pages ranking for this question are domain scanner verdicts or affiliate sites that earn a commission on OurDream signups. Neither tells an adult who is about to enter a card what they are agreeing to.

Is OurDream AI safe to use?

For an adult who shares nothing identifying, reasonably safe. OurDream is run by Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation with a published Dover, Delaware address, and its Refund and Underage policies also name Dream Studio LLC and Tektopia Ltd. The price is printed openly in its own structured data, $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year, which is more candor than several rivals manage. It enforces an age gate, bans content resembling minors and deepfakes of real people, and runs a moderation filter.

The scanner verdicts that fill the top of the search results measure something else entirely: whether a website serves malware. A clean scan says nothing about what happens to your conversations, your money or your legal options, and those are the three things the rest of this article covers. Are OurDream AI chats private?

Not in the way OurDream's homepage says. Its own FAQ answers the privacy question like this: "Your chats are safe with end-to-end encryption. This keeps your messages secure from the moment they leave your device. No one can read them, not even us."

OurDream's Privacy Policy, dated August 26, 2026, describes something different. It says user data is "encrypted both at rest and in transit using industry-standard AES encryption and TLS 1.3 protocols", on a database platform with SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 certification. That is good, conventional security. It protects your messages from someone intercepting them in transit or stealing a disk. It is not end-to-end encryption, which would mean OurDream holds no key and genuinely cannot read what you write.

Three other lines in OurDream's own documents confirm the company can read chats, because it says it does things that require reading them:

None of those practices is unusual. Nearly every companion service stores, moderates and trains on chats. What is unusual is promising the opposite on the homepage, and it matters because a buyer who believes nobody can read their messages will share things they would not share with a company. The working rule is simple: treat anything you type as readable by the operator, keep your real name, employer, address and face out of it, and sign up with an email address that is not your main one.

That discipline is worth more if your details are already easy to find. An email address plus a name is enough to connect an account to a real person through people search sites, and a service that can get your details taken down from the data brokers that list them closes that gap faster than working through opt out forms one broker at a time.

Does OurDream AI share your data with advertisers?

Not today, by its own account, and it keeps the option open. The Privacy Policy says OurDream does not engage in advertising as of the date of the policy, but "may in the future disclose or make available some of your information with advertising and analytics partners". It already lists ad networks and analytics companies such as Google Analytics among the vendors that may use cookies and tracking technologies on the service, and it records IP address, device identifiers such as IDFA or Android ID, and general location inferred from your IP.

On the legal definitions, OurDream says it does not currently sell personal information as Nevada law defines a sale, and it acknowledges under California's CCPA that its analytics and advertising services may result in the "sharing" of online identifiers. It also reserves the right to use de-identified or aggregated data for any purpose, including marketing. That is a middle position. It is better than apps that declare active advertising use today, which is what we found when we read what the Chai app shares about you in its own Google Play filing, and it is not a promise that your data stays in house.

Is OurDream AI safe for your money?

The billing is straightforward and the refunds are narrow. OurDream charges $19.99 a month, or $119.88 once a year for the annual plan, and both include unlimited messages, image and video generation and 1,000 dreamcoins a month. Monthly billing costs $239.88 over a year, exactly twice the annual price.

The practical conclusion is that the $119.88 annual plan is a year's commitment the moment it is charged. It is the better price if you already know you will use OurDream all year, and the wrong first purchase if you do not. Start with one month.

What rights do you give up when you sign up for OurDream AI?

More than most buyers notice, and one of them can be taken back if you act quickly. OurDream's Terms of Service contain a binding individual arbitration clause and a class action waiver. Disputes go to arbitration under JAMS rules instead of to a judge or jury, except claims that qualify for small claims court.

The Terms also give you a way out. You can opt out of the arbitration agreement by emailing OurDream's trust address or writing to Dream Studio USA, Inc. in Dover, Delaware, within 30 calendar days of first accepting the Terms, with your name, your account email and a clear statement that you are opting out. If you care about keeping a court as an option, send that email the day you sign up. After 30 days the clause binds you.

Two other clauses shape the downside. OurDream's total liability to you is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid it. And the Terms say Dream Studio has no responsibility for the deletion of, or failure to store, content on the service, and that it may terminate accounts inactive for an extended period. For a product whose value is a relationship that builds over months, that second clause is the one to weigh.

Does OurDream AI verify your age?

Mostly by self declaration, with stronger checks where a law or a payment partner demands them. OurDream's Underage Policy says users meet an age gate at registration and must confirm they are 18 or older. Where required by law, regulation, payment partner requirements or internal risk assessment, it may add verification through third party providers, including government ID checks or facial and biometric verification, and the requirements vary by region. The Privacy Policy adds that when age verification is performed, a third party age assurance provider runs it and OurDream receives only the outcome.

If you are a parent asking whether OurDream is safe for a teenager, the answer is no. It is an explicitly adult service built around NSFW image and video generation. Is there an official OurDream AI app?

No. OurDream is a website, and its Terms describe the service as ourdream.ai and ourdream.io operated as one service with a single account. Checked on September 10, 2026, Apple's App Store has no OurDream listing.

Google Play does show an app called Our Dream: AI Companion, and this is the one real trap in the whole OurDream question. It is published by a developer listed as avagyan under the package name com.deepdesire.aigirlfriendchat, it is marked as containing ads, and on the day we checked it held a 1.9 star rating from 139 reviews. Nothing connects it to Dream Studio. Anyone searching the store for OurDream on an Android phone can land on it, and anything you pay or type there goes to a different company with different terms.

Being web only also means OurDream files none of the enforced store disclosures, no Apple content advisories and no Google Play data safety declaration, which puts it in the same position as CrushOn. We went through what that absence means in practice in whether CrushOn AI is safe.

The honest summary

OurDream is a legitimate company with a transparent price, standard security and a working refund route for genuinely broken service. Its weak point is the distance between what it says and what it signs. The homepage promises chats nobody can read. The privacy policy describes chats the company stores, moderates and may train on. The Terms send your disputes to arbitration unless you opt out within 30 days, and disclaim any duty to keep your content.

If you still want what OurDream sells, large character libraries and image and video generation at a flat price, go in with a separate email, nothing identifying in your chats, a monthly plan first, and the arbitration opt out sent on day one. If what you actually want is one companion who texts you first and remembers you over months, that is a different product.
