Is Nectar AI legit?

Yes, in the sense that matters before a purchase: it is a working paid service run by named companies. Its Privacy Policy is issued by Nectar AI, LLC at 8 The Green, Suite R, Dover, Delaware, which is a registered agent address used by thousands of companies rather than an office. Its Terms also name Lick Labs Ltd at 167 to 169 Great Portland Street in London, a UK company that Companies House shows was incorporated on October 2, 2025. The Terms do not explain how the two companies relate.

We found no lawsuits against Nectar AI or Lick Labs on CourtListener, and Nectar publishes no breach or regulator notices. The service delivers what it charges for. The questions a buyer should ask are about price structure and data, not about whether it is a scam.

Is Nectar AI safe?

It is safe in the narrow sense that it is a registered business taking card payments for a service it provides. It is less reassuring on privacy, because what Nectar promises on its marketing pages does not match the Privacy Policy it has signed.

The structured data on Nectar's homepage says "All conversations are encrypted and your personal data is never shared with third parties." The pricing page calls the service "100% anonymous". The Privacy Policy on the same site says Nectar shares personal data "with vendors" and may share non-personal data "to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion". It lists "payment card information and billing information" and, where verification applies, "Government-issued identification numbers" and "an image of the relevant identification card" among what it may collect.

The site's own code also loads a Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel analytics, the PropellerAds ad network and the FirstPromoter affiliate tracker. None of that is unusual for a subscription website. It is simply not what "never shared with third parties" means to most buyers. Keep your real name, employer and location out of your chats.

Does Nectar AI use your chats to train AI?

Its FAQ says conversations are "not used to train external AI models", and its Privacy Policy says nothing about training at all. The word external matters: the FAQ does not rule out training Nectar's own models, and the policy neither confirms nor denies it.

The Terms also give Nectar an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty free license to reproduce, display and prepare derivative works of your User Content, which the Terms define to include your chats and prompts. That license is written for operating the service, but it is broad, and it survives. Nectar publishes no retention period, and its FAQ says account deletion is handled by email or Discord rather than a button.

Is there a Nectar AI app for iPhone or Android?

No. Searching the US App Store for Nectar AI returns no app from Nectar's operator, and there is no Google Play listing. Nectar is a web app you open in a browser, and you can add it to your home screen.

There is a lookalike: an iPhone app called Nectar Companion AI, sold by an individual developer named Jeffrey Medina, whose bundle identifier begins with candy.chat. It is not Nectar AI's app. Nectar's API does hold Apple product identifiers for its plans and its Terms have an Apple app section, so an official iOS app may be planned, but none is on sale today. If you find a Nectar app in a store, check the seller before you pay.

How much does Nectar AI cost?

Between $59.99 and $419.88 a year before credits. Premium is $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year, Pro is $19.99 a month or $119.99 a year, and Ultimate is $34.99 a month or $179.99 a year. Paying monthly costs exactly twice the yearly price on Premium and Pro, and 2.3 times on Ultimate. Nectar's own copy says annual plans are billed as a one time payment rounded to the nearest dollar.

The crossed out list prices ($19.99, $29.99 and $49.99 a month) are shown next to the current ones on the pricing page. We did not make a test purchase, so check the figure on the final checkout screen. New users arriving from a referral link get 20 percent off their first subscription, according to Nectar's own referral copy.

What are Nectar AI credits, and what do they buy?

Credits are Nectar's metered currency for the expensive features: voice calls, video calls, turning images into video, and custom voices. They are sold from $4.99 for 2,500 up to $99.99 for 65,000, between $1.54 and $2.00 per thousand.

Nectar's own site code sets the rates. A voice call costs 2 credits a second, about 18 to 24 cents a minute depending on the pack. A video call costs 3 credits a second. Animating an image costs 120 credits and creating a custom voice 500. Ultimate includes 2,500 credits a month, which at the voice call rate is about 20 minutes. That is why affiliate reviews that tested Nectar heavily report real monthly spending far above the plan price. If calls are the reason you want Nectar, budget for credits, not just the subscription.

Is Nectar AI free?

It is free to try and not free to use seriously. The free tier allows 15 messages a day with 15 messages of memory, 10 image generations a day, one photo message and one custom companion. Premium raises that to 6,000 messages a month and 8K of memory, and only Ultimate advertises unlimited messaging and long term memory.

The structure is common in this category. The honest way to judge it is on the yearly price: $59.99 for Premium is inexpensive, while Ultimate month to month at $419.88 a year before credits is expensive for one companion.

Does Nectar AI verify your age?

Only in the UK, where its site says verification is handled by go.cam to comply with UK law. Everywhere else, including the US, the gate is a button that says I'm over 18. Nectar's FAQ describes adult content as available only to verified users aged 18 and over, but no US verification provider is named anywhere Nectar publishes.

Nectar's documents also disagree about age. The FAQ says users under 18 are not permitted under any circumstances. The Terms say users under 18 may only access SFW content areas. The Privacy Policy says the service is not directed to anyone under 13. A buyer does not need to resolve that, but it is a sign the documents were written separately.

How do you cancel a Nectar AI subscription?

From your account: Profile, then Settings, then Subscription and Credits. Nectar's help text also accepts cancellation by email to support@nectar.ai or through its Discord. Plans "automatically renew under the exact same conditions" at the end of each period unless you cancel, and closing the browser tab or ignoring the site does nothing to billing.

The charge appears on a card statement as Nectar Vixen AI, not Nectar AI. If you see that line and do not recognise it, that is where it comes from.

Can you get a refund from Nectar AI?

Generally no. Nectar's Terms call purchases non-refundable, with refunds considered case by case at the company's discretion. Liability to you is capped at fifty US dollars.

The Terms also send disputes to binding JAMS arbitration with a class action waiver, each side paying half the arbitrator's fees. You can opt out by emailing support@nectar.ai within 30 days of first agreeing. If you plan to subscribe, sending that opt out email on day one costs nothing and keeps your access to the courts.

Who is Nectar AI for, and who should skip it?

Nectar fits an adult who wants explicit content, enjoys building characters in detail, generates a lot of images and will pay yearly. Its character builder is the thing most reviews praise, and $59.99 a year for Premium is cheap for that.

It is a poor fit for three kinds of buyer. Anyone who chose it because the homepage promised data is never shared, since the signed policy says otherwise. Anyone who wants frequent voice calls, because credits meter them by the second. And anyone who wants a companion to remember months of conversation on a lower plan, since Premium's memory is 8K and long term memory is an Ultimate feature.

Is Nectar AI worth it?

On a yearly plan, for image-heavy and explicit role play, it can be, provided you accept the data terms and budget for credits. Month to month it is poor value, and the metered calls make the true cost hard to predict.

It is also a different product from what many people want when they search for an AI girlfriend or boyfriend. If what you want is one companion who remembers your week and is always the same person, that is what we built.
