The short answer
Intimate (listed as "Intimate - AI Girlfriend Chat" on the App Store) is an AI girlfriend app made by Growing Pains LLC, a Wyoming company. It is a phone app only, rated 18+ on the App Store and Mature 17+ on Google Play, with 4,416 iPhone ratings and more than a million Android installs. You start with 50 free coins, then pay for Intimate Pro ($49.99 a year, or $14.99 to $59.99 on plans whose billing period Apple does not show) or Intimate Max ($39.99 a month, $479.88 a year), plus coin packs from $6.99 to $69.99. It is a real product, not an affiliate redirect. Before you pay, know three things: its Terms say all purchases are non-refundable, disputes go to arbitration seated in Singapore with no opt-out, and its Google Play listing declares that your data is not encrypted in transit.
The pages that rank for Intimate AI today are AI tool directories and short promotional listings. None of them prints the in-app purchase list, reads the refund clause or checks the Data safety declaration, and one quotes a web version of the app that no longer exists. If you are about to subscribe, those are the three things that decide what you get for your money.

Intimate Max Monthly is $39.99, which is $479.88 over a year. Intimate Pro Annual is $49.99 for the whole year. Both appear in the same App Store purchase list, and the gap is the biggest single number to check before you choose a tier.
All purchases are non-refundable
The Terms read: All purchases are non-refundable. Plans renew automatically, Intimate may charge your card on a recurring basis without asking each time, and it may change prices at any time. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, their refund process is your only route.
Data not encrypted in transit
Intimate's own Google Play Data safety declaration says: Data isn't encrypted. Your data isn't transferred over a secure connection. The same page lists messages, voice recordings, name and email among data that may be shared with other companies.

Apple lists ten Intimate purchases. Four are subscriptions with a stated period, three are subscriptions whose period Apple does not print, and the rest are coin packs. The yearly column is our arithmetic, and we only annualise a plan when its billing period is shown.

Coins get ten times cheaper per coin as the pack grows, from about 7 cents each in the 100 pack to 0.7 cents in the 10,000 pack, and Intimate publishes no rate for what a message, call or photo costs in coins. On Android the in-app range is $5.99 to $119.99 per item, higher at the top than anything on the iPhone list. Store prices change, so check the live checkout before you buy.
What is the Intimate AI girlfriend app?
Intimate is a chat and voice call app where you date one of more than 15 pre-made AI characters, male and female, each with a profile and a photo gallery. Its App Store description promises 24/7 chat and calls and an ad-free premium tier with deeper roleplay, instant replies and unlimited interaction. Its FAQ says you cannot yet create your own character.
It has been on the App Store since June 28, 2023 and on Google Play since June 20, 2023. On iPhone it holds 4.4 stars from 4,416 ratings; on Android, 4.3 stars from 20,909 ratings and more than 1,000,000 installs. There is no working web version: the chat buttons on both of its websites send you to the app stores, and the character pages on myintimate.app only say Open in App.
Who owns Intimate AI?
Growing Pains LLC. The Terms describe it as a company registered in Wyoming at 30 N Gould St, Suite R #4000, Sheridan, WY 82801, which is a registered agent address used by many small companies rather than an office. The Google Play contact block adds a phone number with a 647 area code, which is Toronto, and two support addresses, support@intimategf.com and support@myintimate.app.
That is not unusual for a small app studio, but it does mean the people running Intimate are not easy to reach in person. The App Store copyright line and both store listings carry the same company name, so there is no doubt which app is the real one. Three other apps use similar names (IntimateAI - Girlfriend and More by ASOASIS TECH, Caresse Intimate AI Audio, and Intima AI). Check that the seller reads Growing Pains LLC before you download.
How much does Intimate AI cost?
Intimate is free to download and gives you 50 coins at signup, which its FAQ says you can spend on chats, calling or the photo gallery. After that, the cheapest clearly labelled way to keep going is Intimate Pro Annual at $49.99 a year, about $4.17 a month. Apple also lists Intimate Pro at $19.99 and $59.99 and Intimate Pro Discounted at $14.99, without saying whether those are monthly, quarterly or something else. A Google Play reviewer describes paying about $20 a month, which fits the $19.99 item being monthly, but Intimate does not confirm it.
Intimate Max is the expensive tier: $39.99 a month, or $29.99 on the discounted listing. Over a year that is $479.88 or $359.88, between seven and ten times the Pro Annual plan. Coins sit on top of any plan. The premium tier is described as unlimited interaction, yet the same store list sells packs up to 10,000 coins for $69.99, so budget for coins if you want photos or calls.
Can you get a refund from Intimate AI?
Not from Intimate. Its Terms say: All purchases are non-refundable. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel, and you consent to recurring charges without approving each one. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current paid term, so you keep access until then but get nothing back.
If you paid through the App Store or Google Play, cancel in your phone's subscription settings and request any refund through Apple or Google, which apply their own rules. The Terms also mention cancelling through an emailed Stripe link, which suggests some customers were billed directly by card at some point. If that is you, the cancellation link is in your confirmation email.
What happens if you have a dispute with Intimate?
You have to negotiate informally for at least 30 days, then go to binding arbitration before three arbitrators at a Brussels arbitration body, with the seat in Singapore and Singapore law applying. There is a class action waiver and no opt-out window. Intimate's liability is capped at what you paid in the six months before the problem arose.
The same Terms, one section earlier, say they are governed by the laws of Wyoming, and the EULA says Wyoming too. For a US customer arguing over a $39.99 monthly charge, an arbitration seated in Singapore is not a practical option, which is why the refund clause above matters more than it first appears.
Is Intimate AI safe and private?
Its marketing and its declarations do not match. The homepage says your data "is never accessed by our team" and that conversations are private between you and your AI girlfriend. Its Google Play Data safety page says data is not encrypted in transit, and that messages, voice or sound recordings, name, email, user IDs and approximate location may be shared with other companies, the last one for analytics and advertising. Apple's privacy label, by contrast, shows only data not linked to you and no tracking.
The Privacy Policy enables Google Analytics remarketing and lets third parties use tracking technology to tailor ads, allows an offer wall in the app, and says personal information was sold or shared with analytics and authentication services in the last 12 months. It never mentions chat content by name, never says whether your chats train the AI, and never names the AI model behind the characters. Personal data is kept for as long as you have an account. Treat anything you type or say in a call as readable by the company and its vendors.
Is Intimate AI NSFW?
Its FAQ says yes: you can switch on an NSFW 18+ mode in account settings, which it says removes all restrictions on conversations. Its Terms say the opposite about what you send, banning submissions that are obscene or sexually explicit, and the community guidelines the FAQ refers to are not published on either of its websites. The App Store rates the app 18+ for frequent mature or suggestive themes and sexual content.
The only age check is the date of birth you enter. There is no ID, selfie or third party verification, so the 18+ mode depends entirely on users telling the truth.
Who Intimate fits, and who it does not
Intimate fits someone who wants a cheap year of casual chat with a rotating cast of pre-made characters and is comfortable with the Pro Annual plan at $49.99. It is a poorer fit for anyone who will be tempted into Max at $39.99 a month or into coin packs, because none of that money comes back, and for anyone who wants their conversations to stay private given what its own Data safety page declares.
