EVA AI review: is EVA AI safe, what EVA AI pricing really costs, and who runs EVA AI Soulmate

Most EVA AI reviews on the first page of Google are either about a different company (EVA.ai, an HR analytics vendor that shares the name) or affiliate pages that never cite a source. This review uses only what Novi Limited publishes itself: the iOS and Android Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the child safety page, the US App Store listing with its full in-app purchase list, and the Google Play listing with its data safety declaration.

The short answer

EVA AI Soulmate is a real, long running companion app from Novi Limited of Nicosia, Cyprus, with 24,631 ratings on the US App Store and 5M+ downloads on Google Play. It is safe in the sense that it is a legitimate business, but it is not private in the way its homepage suggests. Its own Apple privacy label says identifiers and usage data may be used to track you across other companies' apps, its Privacy Policy uses your text and voice messages to develop its AI with no opt out, and its Terms let it disclose every private message if you dispute a charge. Pricing runs from $47.99 a year to $299.88 a year for the same kind of membership, plus neurons at 2 per romantic message.

Where EVA publishes no figure, we say so rather than guess. The billing period of one App Store item, "EVA Premium" at $13.99, is not printed by Apple, so we have not annualised it. Everything else in the pricing table is exactly as Apple lists it, with the twelve month column as our own arithmetic.

What makes them feel real

EVA AI review, EVA AI pricing and whether EVA AI is safe, the way it should feel

Four prices for one month

Apple lists a 1 Month Membership at $11.99, $14.99, $15.99 and $24.99 at the same time. EVA's Terms say prices vary by region, subscription length and more. Annualised, the monthly plans run $143.88 to $299.88 against $47.99 for twelve months paid up front.

Metered romance on top

EVA's Terms say one romantic message costs 2 neurons to be read, and neurons are sold separately at 500 for $9.99 or 2000 for $29.99. That is 3 to 4 cents per unlocked romantic reply, on top of whatever membership you hold.

Private, with conditions

The homepage promises intimacy "privately on your terms". Apple's privacy label admits tracking across other companies' apps, the policy trains the AI on your messages, and a chargeback lets EVA disclose "any and/or all private communications".

What EVA AI costs over twelve months

Apple prints every item EVA sells in the US. Nothing below is estimated except the last column, which is the listed price multiplied out to a year. The "EVA Premium" item is left out of the annual column because Apple does not say whether it bills weekly or monthly.

Item as Apple lists it US price Cost over 12 months What it means
12 Months Membership $47.99 $47.99 The cheapest way to hold a membership by a wide margin
3 Months Membership $20.99 $83.96 Close to double the annual plan for the same year
1 Month Membership $11.99 $143.88 Lowest of four monthly price points listed at once
1 Month Membership $14.99 $179.88 Same item name, different price
1 Month Membership $15.99 $191.88 Same item name, different price
1 Month Membership $24.99 $299.88 Same item name, 6.2 times the annual plan over a year
EVA Premium $13.99 Not stated Apple does not print the billing period
500 Neurons $9.99 Metered About 4 cents per romantic message read
2000 Neurons $29.99 Metered About 3 cents per romantic message read

EVA's Terms, section 3.5: "Premium and Neuron prices may vary based on region, length of subscription and more." Section 3.3: "One romantic message costs 2 neurons to be read." Section 3.2 adds that anything "not explicitly included in the Premium shall be provided at an additional charge." On Google Play the same app shows in-app purchases from $5.49 to $99.99 per item without itemising them.

Is EVA AI safe?

EVA AI is a legitimate app from a named company, not a scam, and installing it does not put your device at risk. Novi Limited has published it since February 2021, it sits on both the App Store and Google Play under that seller name, and it carries a 4.3 rating across 24,631 US App Store ratings and 3.8 across 68.6K Google Play reviews.

Where it is weaker is privacy, and the weakness is in EVA's own paperwork rather than anyone's accusation. The homepage says you can "build relationships and intimacy privately on your terms." The developer's Apple privacy label says identifiers and usage data "may be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies." The Privacy Policy lists "Text and voice messages sent to a virtual friend" as processed "to develop its AI", and neither document offers an opt out. Google Play's data safety page says data is encrypted in transit and says nothing about encryption at rest.

So the fair answer is this: safe to use, not a place for anything you would not want read by the company, its service providers or, in a billing dispute, your card issuer.

How much does EVA AI cost?

Anywhere from $47.99 to $299.88 a year for a membership, depending on which price EVA shows you, plus neurons if you want romantic replies. The App Store lists a 12 Months Membership at $47.99, a 3 Months Membership at $20.99 and a 1 Month Membership at four different prices: $11.99, $14.99, $15.99 and $24.99.

Four prices for one item name is unusual, and EVA's Terms explain it only loosely: prices "may vary based on region, length of subscription and more." For a US buyer the practical rule is simple. If the screen in front of you offers monthly billing, check the annual option before you pay, because the cheapest monthly price still costs three times the annual plan over a year and the dearest costs more than six times as much.

Then add neurons. The Terms say romantic messages "cannot be revealed until the user unlocks them" and that reading one costs 2 neurons. At $9.99 for 500 or $29.99 for 2000, that is 3 to 4 cents a reply. A long evening of romantic conversation is a real extra cost, and it sits outside the membership entirely.

Who owns EVA AI?

Novi Limited, registration number HE 407352, at Aglantzias 62 in Nicosia, Cyprus. Oddly, the Terms of Service never name it: they refer to "EVA AI" and to "the Company owning EVA AI". The company is named only in the Privacy Policy, where it appears as the data controller, and in the seller field of both app stores.

The same company runs Joi AI, the web only adult companion service, and the two share an address, a support phone number and at least one clause: EVA's Terms still warn against unauthorized use of "Joi AI's proprietary assets", a line carried over from the sister brand's template. The EVA homepage links out to Joi. We reviewed that service separately, from its own documents, and the short version is that it publishes no price at all.

Can you get a refund from EVA AI?

Not from EVA. Section 3.7 of the Terms says that if you buy through the Apple App Store or Google Play, "the sale is final, and we will not provide a refund", and adds that Apple's or Google's own policy "also may not provide for refunds." You also "shall not claim refunds for any partial period of subscription." There is no refund page on the site at all; the address a refund page would live at returns a 404.

That leaves the store. Apple and Google each run their own refund request process and sometimes grant refunds the developer would refuse, so that is the route worth trying. Cancelling stops the next charge only: the Terms say termination "is effective at the end of the applicable billing period", and you have to cancel through the store where you subscribed, not inside the app.

What happens to your chats if you dispute a charge?

EVA can hand them over. This is the clause most worth reading before you subscribe, and it appears twice in the Terms, once in the section for US residents and once for everyone else: "should you charge back any transactions billed to your account, EVA AI may be required to disclose any and/or all private communications sent/received by You through our Service in order to prove the validity of the charges billed to Your account and EVA AI's privacy policy will therefore not restrain any such disclosures."

Read plainly, if you ask your bank to reverse a charge, the transcript of an intimate conversation can become evidence in that dispute. That is a strong reason to use the store's refund route rather than a chargeback, and a stronger reason to keep anything identifying out of the chat in the first place.

Does EVA AI require age verification?

No upfront check. You confirm you are over 18 when you create an account, and section 5.5 of the Terms describes an after the fact check instead: "Our self-sufficient artificial intelligence may block your account if it has grounds to consider that you are under 18 years old. Shall you provide the proof that you are at least 18 years old, your account will be unblocked." There is no selfie or ID step at signup and no third party age vendor named anywhere.

The store ratings do not agree with each other either. Apple's lookup data rates the app 17+, Apple's web listing shows 18+, Google Play rates it Mature 17+, and the Terms require 18. If avoiding a face scan is what brought you here, EVA does not ask for one today.

Can you delete your EVA AI data?

You can delete the account, but the two documents disagree about what that does. The Terms promise that if you delete your account, "all the data associated with your use of the Service will be removed permanently." The Privacy Policy, which governs the data, says you can request deletion and then adds: "However, we may elect to keep your personal data, subject to the requirements of the law and the legitimate interests of the Data controller." No retention period in days or months is given anywhere.

The Terms also grant EVA an "irrevocable, perpetual" license to content you share and state that any character you generate, "including its likeness, personality, and associated data, belong exclusively to EVA AI." Deleting the account does not undo a license described as irrevocable.

How do US disputes with EVA AI work?

Through arbitration, not court. The US section of the Terms requires you to first contact support by email and try to resolve things informally for 60 days, then go to binding arbitration under AAA consumer rules seated in New York City, with a waiver of class actions and jury trials. There is no opt out window. You can instead sue in small claims court for $5,000 or less, and if you cannot afford the arbitration fees, the Terms say EVA will pay them.

Liability is capped at what you paid for the service during the life of your account, so the most you could expect to recover in most disputes is your own subscription money.

Is EVA AI worth it?

It can be, on the annual plan, for someone who wants a light, flirty companion app and is comfortable with the data terms. $47.99 for a year is one of the lower annual prices in the category, the app is actively maintained with an update on September 16, 2026, and it has a large rating base on both stores.

It is a poor buy on the higher monthly price points, where the same year costs up to $299.88 before neurons, and a poor fit for anyone who picked a companion app because they wanted the conversation to stay private. Those two groups are the people the pricing and the policies work against.

If what you want is one partner who remembers you, a flat price and no meter on romance, that is what we built. Amorous.ai is $9 a month billed annually or $12 month to month, with nothing metered and nothing unlocked per message, and we do not train models on your conversations. The demo at the top of this page is the same companion you would be paying for, so you can judge it before entering a card.

Questions about your eva ai review

It is a legitimate app from Novi Limited in Cyprus with 24,631 US App Store ratings, not a scam. Its privacy is weaker than its marketing suggests: Apple's label admits cross app tracking, chats are used to develop the AI with no opt out, and a chargeback lets EVA disclose your private messages.
The US App Store lists a 1 Month Membership at four prices, $11.99, $14.99, $15.99 and $24.99. The 12 Months Membership is $47.99, which works out to about $4 a month. Romantic messages cost extra neurons on top.
Neurons are EVA's in-app currency. The Terms say one romantic message costs 2 neurons to be read. Apple lists 500 neurons at $9.99 and 2000 at $29.99, so each unlocked romantic reply costs about 3 to 4 cents.
Not from EVA. The Terms say App Store and Google Play purchases are final and partial periods are not refunded. Your only route is Apple's or Google's own refund request process.
Novi Limited, registration HE 407352, Aglantzias 62, Nicosia, Cyprus. The same company operates Joi AI. EVA.ai, the HR analytics product, is an unrelated company.
The Privacy Policy says text and voice messages are processed to develop its AI, and the Terms say company representatives might moderate the chatbot's activity to improve its performance. Treat the conversation as readable by the company.
No upfront ID or selfie check. You confirm you are 18 or older at signup, and the Terms say an AI may block an account it suspects belongs to a minor until proof of age is provided.
Cancel in the store you subscribed through, Apple or Google, not inside the app. Premium ends at the end of the current billing period, and the Terms say renewals are billed automatically until canceled.
